No automotive protection system makes paint scratch-proof. A coating is measured in microns and cannot absorb the force of keys, branches, stone chips or abrasive washing.

Its useful role is different. Wax, sealant or ceramic protection forms a sacrificial surface that can improve resistance to chemicals, water spotting and contamination while making careful washing easier.

Preparation remains decisive. AVP washes and decontaminates the vehicle, assesses the paint and corrects suitable defects before application. Coating over dirt or poor finishing preserves those problems rather than solving them.

Consistent application and controlled curing help the product perform as designed. Durability then depends on mileage, storage, weather, washing and maintenance.

Fine contact may mark the protection before the clear coat beneath it, but this should never be sold as a guarantee against scratches. Prompt removal of bird residue, tree sap and tar is still necessary.
