An automatic wash prioritises speed and consistency at scale. A professional hand wash gives the operator more control over contamination, tools and detailed areas.

Where marks can arise

Any contact wash can create marks when grit remains on the vehicle or in the wash media. Automatic equipment condition and maintenance vary; hand washing is not automatically risk-free either.

What a controlled hand wash changes

Loose dirt is removed before contact, high-contamination areas use separate tools and the technician can adjust pressure and chemistry by surface. Door shuts, emblems and other details can be handled deliberately.

AVP uses a staged hand-wash process to reduce avoidable contact marks. It cannot guarantee that no mark will ever occur or treat washing as a substitute for correcting existing defects.

The better option depends on the vehicle, finish, maintenance expectations and available time.
