What is a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is usually a SiO2-based layer that cures on the surface after suitable preparation and supports chemical protection and hydrophobicity.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Durability depends on the system, preparation, number of layers, use and maintenance. Manufacturer figures describe conditions and are not a guarantee for every vehicle.

What does a ceramic coating provide?

It can support water repellency, chemical resistance, cleaning and UV protection. It does not make paint scratch-proof or prevent stone chips.

How is a ceramic coating applied?

After cleaning, decontamination, any required polishing and degreasing, it is applied section by section with an applicator, levelled and cured according to the system.

Does a ceramic coating require maintenance?

Yes. Regular gentle washing and compatible maintenance support the surface and water behaviour; aggressive or unsuitable cleaners can reduce performance.
