Compounds and finishing

AVP

Use according to the work stage

AVP uses Menzerna for heavy cut, medium cut, finish refinement and paint protection, as well as comparisons of compounds and cut stages. Cut, finish quality, dusting, heat development, process stability and repeatability are assessed.

Process

Preparation, treatment, aftercare

Cleaner, polish and protection must suit the material and the preceding and following work stages.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Menzerna

When is HCC400 used instead of MCP2500?

Heavy Cut Compound 400 is intended for stronger defects and greater material removal, while Medium Cut Polish 2500 suits more moderate correction. Paint hardness, defect depth and a test spot determine whether the coarser stage is necessary.

How do Super Finish 3500 and Final Finish 3000 differ?

Both are used for refinement but are selected according to the paint, preceding work and desired finish. AVP assesses gloss, traces from the previous stage and behaviour on the chosen pad directly on the vehicle.

How strongly do the pad and machine affect a Menzerna polish?

Substantially: pad material, firmness, machine movement, pressure and working time all alter cut and finish. The product name alone therefore cannot reliably predict the result.

Can Power Lock be applied directly after a Menzerna polish?

Only once correction is complete and the surface is free from polishing residue that could interfere. AVP checks the finish and prepares the paint appropriately before Power Lock follows as the protection stage.

What do dusting and heat behaviour mean in a Menzerna process?

Overlong work cycles, a loaded pad or unsuitable combinations can increase dust and heat. AVP keeps pads clean, works in controlled sections and adjusts product quantity and machine settings to the paint.
